Starting and Stopping and Starting Again

For most of my entire life, I’ve had a journal or spiral bound notebook to reflect and record my thoughts which is also why I was drawn to blogging. These quick bursts or commentary, stories and information are easy for me especially when it comes to writing about work. It’s what I do and what I know. And yet I feel uncomfortable writing a personal blog. Except there are times when I’m driving in the car or I have a family experience outside of my work that reminds me I should really be recording things about my life outside of work. HR and recruiters don’t always want to hear about me rave on the business blog about my the new iPad app, I downloaded for my daughter or my new way of folding laundry. Except I don’t fold laundry. I avoid it at all costs. I suck at compartmentalizing things like work and life which is why I love working for myself. I just do what’s right for me and my family.

I’ve started and stopped this blog many times. I’ve posted, deleted and have literally hundreds of notes in draft status waiting for the right time to send and share about me. I’m starting now…
